Iceland Considers AI for New Teaching Materials - Iceland Review - 东升国际
Iceland Considers AI for New Teaching Materials. **Iceland’s education minister, Inga Sæland, says artificial intelligence and translations of foreign textbooks are among the options being considered for new teaching materials. They come amid debate over Iceland’s PISA results and plans to strengthen learning materials and science-related education. ## An Option for Teaching Materials, Not an Approved Programme. * The minister says the allocation of teaching-materials funding is not final. * The proposed funding covers several education priorities, not an earmarked AI programme. Her comments do not amount to the launch of a national AI teaching-materials programme. In a parliamentary debate on the budget, held on 10 September, she described a proposed ISK 675 million total for teaching materials and STEM education in 2027. That earlier breakdown is important context for the minister’s reference to almost ISK 700 million in the latest interview.
